I'm a researcher in Neuroscience and Signal Processing working on analyzing brain connectivity and source localization from EEG/MEG data. I previously did research at Technical University of Berlin. My work focuses on developing novel methods for studying functional and effective connectivity between brain regions using advanced signal processing techniques.
My research has contributed several key methodological advances in the field, including the Self-Consistent MUSIC algorithm for improved source localization, new approaches for analyzing brain oscillation waveshapes using bicoherence, and objective quality assessment methods for stereoscopic images using EEG. I have a particular interest in addressing the challenges of volume conduction artifacts when studying brain connectivity patterns.
Through my work, I aim to better understand how different brain areas communicate and coordinate with each other during cognitive tasks and perception. This involves developing mathematical frameworks and computational tools that can more accurately identify true interactions between brain regions from noninvasive electromagnetic recordings. My research combines elements of signal processing, machine learning to advance our ability to study large-scale brain networks.
